Get Involved In The Make-A-Wish Kids For Wish Kids Program

September 13, 2013

Wheels For Wishes is a proud supporter of Make-A-Wish and all of the amazing work they do for kids around the world. You can help Make-A-Wish too when you donate an unwanted car to Wheels For Wishes. Through the Make-A-Wish car donation program, Wheels For Wishes accepts donated cars and recycles or auctions them off to benefit Make-A-Wish. Donate cars of all makes, models, colors, or sizes, and each and every vehicle will make a difference in the life of a child.

At Wheels For Wishes, we are thrilled to be able to do what we do so we can help Make-A-Wish grant the wishes of kids battling critical illnesses. You can easily help too, and all you need is a vehicle to donate. However, if you don’t have a vehicle to donate, there are still others ways for you to get involved.

You may be familiar with several of the Make-A-Wish promotions, such as Walk For Wishes, Wishmakers On Campus, Wishmakers at Work, Monthly Giving, Donate Airline Miles, or Planned Giving, but there’s another Make-A-Wish program that also gets kids involved in the wish-granting process. The Make-A-Wish Kids For Wish Kids program allows kids to form committees where they can brainstorm on fundraising for Make-A-Wish and begin the whole fundraising process on their own. If you have children who are interested in making a difference in the lives of others, this could be the perfect program for them.

Kids For Wish Kids

The Make-A-Wish Kids For Wishes Kids campaign is an excellent program for getting kids to learn about fundraising, organizing, and making a difference in the world. While teachers and parents serve as advisors, many of the decisions are left up to the kids! Because there are so many wishes to be granted, Make-A-Wish does not want to exclude anyone from helping them reach their goal of granting wishes for kids with critical illnesses. With the Kids For Wish Kids program, Make-A-Wish hopes to attract kids of all ages. The more people to help out, the better!

Kids are encouraged to come up with their own ideas as a team, but some of the ideas that Make-A-Wish provides on their website include bake sales, dance marathons, or a student/teacher basketball game.  Kids can come up with fundraising ideas and make them happen.

If you or your child is interested in getting involved in the Make-A-Wish Kids For Wish Kids program, contact your local Make-A-Wish chapter. To see a list of the Make-A-Wish chapters currently involved in the Kids For Wish Kids program, please visit the Make-A-Wish website.

Donate Cars To Help Grant Wishes

If you are looking to get your family involved in the wish-granting process but are looking to make a one-time effort, consider donating a car to Wheels For Wishes, benefiting Make-A-Wish. If you donate a vehicle now, you can always volunteer with Make-A-Wish and get involved in any of their amazing programs at a later date. Whatever you choose to do, it will make a difference in your community.

To donate a vehicle to Wheels For Wishes and to help grant wishes for kids in your community, please call 1-855-278-9474 or fill out our online vehicle donation form.
